Refund Policy

Last updated: 03.01.26

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for psychological therapy, psychological assessments, and forensic assessment services provided by Pardoe Psychology. Our aim is to be transparent, fair, and consistent while maintaining professional and ethical standards.

2. Therapy Sessions and Supervision

2.1 Refunds for Cancelled Sessions

•             If you cancel a therapy session with more than 24 hours notice, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid in advance.

•             If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the full session fee is charged and no refund will be issued.

•             If we need to cancel a session for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

2.2 Missed Sessions (No‑Shows)

•             Missed appointments without notice are charged in full.

•             No refunds are issued for missed sessions.

3. Psychological Assessments (Non‑Forensic)

3.1 Deposits and Pre‑Paid Fees

Assessment work often requires significant preparation. Therefore:

•             Deposits or pre‑paid fees are non‑refundable once assessment preparation has begun.

•             If you cancel before preparation starts, a refund may be issued minus an administrative fee.

3.2 Cancellation After Work Has Begun

If you cancel after any of the following have occurred:

•             file review

•             collateral information gathering

•             psychometric test scoring

•             initial interview

•             report drafting

…then refunds are not available, as professional time has already been allocated.

3.3 Incomplete Assessments

If you choose not to complete the assessment process:

•             No refund will be issued for work already completed.

•             You may be charged for additional time required to close the case appropriately.

4. Forensic Assessments

Forensic work involves legal, statutory, and professional obligations. Refunds are therefore more restricted.

4.1 Non‑Refundable Fees

Once a forensic assessment has been instructed and work has begun, fees are non‑refundable. This includes:

•             file review

•             collateral information gathering

•             structured risk assessment scoring

•             interviews

•             report drafting

4.2 Withdrawal by the Instructing Party

If a solicitor, court, or agency withdraws instruction:

•             Fees for work already completed remain payable.

•             No refunds will be issued for completed or partially completed work.

4.3 Court Deadlines and Non‑Attendance

If you fail to attend scheduled assessment appointments:

•             No refund will be issued.

•             Additional fees may apply for rescheduling within court deadlines.

5. Digital Products, Reports, and Written Materials

•             Once a report, letter, or written document has been produced, no refunds are available.

•             If an administrative error occurs on our part, we will correct it at no additional cost.

6. Service Provider Cancellations

If we must cancel a session, assessment appointment, or meeting:

•             You will receive a full refund for any pre‑paid fees, or

•             You may choose to reschedule at no additional cost.

7. Disputes and Exceptions

We aim to resolve concerns collaboratively and fairly. If you believe a refund should be considered outside the terms above, please contact:

Requests will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis, but exceptions are not guaranteed.
