Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Remote or in-person, in Stirling
CBT is a specialist intervention that requires formal training, supervised practice and competency assessment. I am trained and regulated in accordance with these standards, having achieved a PgDip in CBT, with merit. This ensures that therapy is delivered safely, effectively and in line with evidence based guidelines.
CBT is a structured, evidence based therapy which is based on the principle that thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected and that changing one part of this cycle can improve others. It helps people to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and replace them with more helpful, adaptive patterns. It is widely used in the NHS due to it being an effective approach for a wide range of mental health difficulties, as recommended by NICE guidelines.
